Why I love horses

I am starting this blog to help others who love horses as much as I do. My love for horses goes back to when I was only around 5 years old. I had a brown and white pony named Price Valient. Even though he was far from perfect he was beautiful to me.I rode that pony every day. I actually lived at the edge of a small town so I would ride him to the park and through the neighbor hood and take other kids on rides. I out grew him by the time I was 10. I took my pony to a horse show and he would not canter in the class. I came out crying and my brother met me at the gate and told me I could start riding a horse he had gotten for my mom and for the next 6 years I rode that horse to horse shows and 4-H shows until I was 17. One of the judges told me that I rode wonderfully but my horse just was not well bred and lacked the looks needed to win. My mom bought me a beautiful 2 year old blue roan quarter horse which I showed for 2 more years without much luck. I continued to ride the other horse and win trail classes. Inever forgot the pony that got me started and my love to ride and share my horses with others. I learned so much with my horses. I learned how to care for them, ride them and understand them. No matter what they always show love for their owner.I also learned that if their owner acted badly so did they. I am now once again working with horses and sharing them with others. I started t4eaching riding classes in the fall. I had 3 students, 2 adults and 1 child. I really enjoyed doing this and plan to do more of it starting in the spring.
